Reframing Rain
Welcome to a gentle place of fresh perspectives through prayer, encouragement, and hope in Jesus.
A bit of my story…
You can find me at home nestled into the foothills of Mt. Hood in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
For over two decades, I spent my days loving and teaching children.
One day my world changed. A mass radiation accident during a teacher in-service training burned my eyes, face, neck, and hands.
Radiation burns drastically alter my daily life. I live with unceasing, 24-hour pain coupled with extreme light sensitivity. Rainy days offer a bit of relief and access to the outside world.
Many people view rain as dreary. Yet for me, rain falls as a reframed gift from God, complete with fresh air, puddles for splashing, and rain on my cheeks that feel like kisses from angels.
I wish we could take a no-umbrella walk together in the rain. I’d love to hear your stories and share with you what the Lord has been teaching me. For now, let’s take a drier approach and gather at Reframing Rain, a private community on Facebook.
